Sophie is a founding member of workshop cooperative Clay Collective, based in Hackney. The founding aims were to create a studio to provide a democratic and supportive space and community in which practitioners could work and collaborate, sharing skills, ideas and resources.

Sophie’s work explores the relationship between function and sculpture, with a playful approach to the use of her material and the narrative within the surface decoration. Sophie has recently relocated to Bristol where she uses different techniques to explore and develop an understanding of her practice.
